Prada seeks a Department Manager in Beijing to oversee store operations in the Store Manager’s absence and support sales performance, team development, client experience, product operations, and visual merchandising. The role includes leading clienteling and VIC engagement, coordinating with buying, warehouse, and visual merchandising teams, and advancing store-wide operational efficiency.
Role & Responsibilities
- When the Store Manager is off duty, oversee store opening and closing, morning and evening meetings, staff scheduling, and cash and system compliance.
- Meet daily performance targets while on duty, monitor sales progress, and adjust the team’s execution strategy as needed.
- Lead responses to escalated customer complaints, system failures, urgent inventory reallocations, and other incidents through timely decisions and resource coordination.
- Assist the Store Manager in setting store sales targets, translating them into daily, weekly, and monthly plans, monitoring progress, and adjusting strategies.
- Lead cross-category sales initiatives, including product pairing recommendations and combination promotions, to increase add-on sales and average transaction value and exceed store targets.
- Analyze store data, including foot traffic, conversion rates, and repeat purchase rates, and submit improvement proposals to the Store Manager for implementation.
- Collaborate with other department managers to share information and integrate resources, improving store-wide operational efficiency.
- Promote retail excellence across Front of House and Back of House operations, delivering an exceptional client experience.
- Build strong, long-term client relationships through consistent, high-quality engagement and clienteling initiatives.
- Attract and retain talented team members by fostering a motivating work environment and understanding individual needs; attract top talent to the store.
- Assist the Store Manager with inventory turnover, visual merchandising, and responding to customer needs.
- Analyze product sales trends and customer feedback, recommend assortment adjustments, and work with the buying team to refine replenishment strategies.
- Handle bespoke requests from high-end clients in line with brand service standards.
- Lead by example in embedding clienteling into daily operations; use data-driven personalized service and ongoing coaching to build deep customer relationships and deliver one-to-one luxury experiences that strengthen customer lifetime value and brand loyalty.
- Oversee the team’s execution of service standards to ensure a consistent customer experience.
- Drive VIC engagement by consolidating store-wide client data, organizing exclusive events, and increasing sales opportunities.
- Collect customer feedback, optimize service processes, and submit improvement proposals to the Store Manager.
- Ensure product displays meet brand visual standards and work with the visual merchandising team to update window displays and in-store presentations.
- Monitor inventory health, collaborate with the warehouse team to optimize stock allocation, and reduce the risk of slow-moving items.
- Provide timely feedback to the buying team on product issues and market demand to support adjustments to the store’s assortment strategy.
