Confidential luxury house — Milan: Data Analytics Delivery Lead to drive enterprise analytics delivery, stakeholder alignment and BI transformation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of enterprise analytics initiatives: define scope, delivery milestones, resourcing, risk register and go‑live criteria.
- Coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders (merchandising, marketing, retail, e‑commerce, finance) to translate business needs into analytics requirements and prioritized backlogs.
- Lead, mentor and allocate capacity for mixed teams of data engineers, data scientists, BI developers and third‑party vendors to meet sprint and release commitments.
- Establish and enforce analytics delivery standards: data modelling, ETL patterns, testing, CI/CD, observability and documentation.
- Oversee implementation and rollout of BI platforms, dashboards and embedded analytics; validate KPIs and ensure data quality and lineage.
- Manage vendor relationships, procurement for cloud/data platforms and external consultancies, including contract and budget oversight.
- Drive adoption by designing launch plans, training materials and change‑management activities to embed analytics into decision workflows.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regimes (e.g. GDPR) and internal security policies throughout the analytics lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline; master’s preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering enterprise analytics programmes within a complex, matrixed organisation.
- Demonstrable experience leading multidisciplinary data teams and managing external vendors/consultancies.
- Solid knowledge of data governance, data security and regulatory requirements applicable to customer and commercial data (GDPR).
- Formal training or certification in project/agile delivery methods (e.g., Scrum Master, PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe) is highly desirable.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and change‑management capabilities at senior/executive levels.
Skills
Experience
Typically 8+ years of professional experience in data/analytics roles with at least 3 years managing delivery of enterprise analytics or BI programmes; experience within retail, fashion or luxury brands is advantageous.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline required; postgraduate degree in Data Science, Business Analytics or an MBA is preferred.

The successful candidate will be located in Milan, Lombardy, Italy.
