Marchesi 1824 in Milan seeks a Commis de Rang at Torre — entry-level dining-room role supporting refined service in a luxury gastronomic setting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute daily dining-room service according to fine-dining protocols: mise en place, table setup, cover service and clearing.
- Deliver attentive, discretionary guest service, taking orders, serving food and beverages and responding to requests with polished etiquette.
- Support the service team and head waiter during covers, including plate presentation, wine decanting and basic table-side preparations.
- Maintain impeccable hygiene and presentation standards in line with HACCP and internal procedures; assist with opening and closing duties.
- Operate point-of-sale equipment, process guest checks and assist with stock rotation and simple inventory tasks when required.
Qualifications
- Professional training in hospitality, culinary arts or equivalent vocational experience preferred.
- Valid food-safety certification (HACCP) or willingness to obtain certification.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a polished, guest-focused demeanour and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays in a high-volume luxury environment.
