Business Support Assistant Manager at a confidential luxury brand in Tokyo — lead IT support operations, vendor management and stakeholder engagement.
Role & Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day IT business support activities across business units, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
- Act as primary liaison between IT, business stakeholders and external vendors to prioritise demand, manage SLAs and escalate issues.
- Supervise and mentor a small team of support analysts; allocate workload and maintain quality and performance metrics.
- Oversee vendor relationships including contract performance monitoring, invoicing validation and periodic vendor reviews.
- Support project intake and change management processes: scope requirements, track deliverables, and maintain project documentation.
- Produce regular operational reports and dashboards for senior management covering KPIs, budget variances and risk items.
- Define and optimise support processes, implement best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.
- Proven experience in IT support/operations with progressive responsibility; prior exposure to luxury retail/brand environments preferred.
- Demonstrable experience managing vendors, SLAs and cross-functional stakeholder relationships.
- Strong analytical ability with experience producing management reports and operational dashboards.

Experience
Typically 5+ years in IT operations, business support or IT service delivery, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead capacity; experience in retail, luxury goods or multi‑regional organisations advantageous.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related discipline; MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred but not required.
