Prada Group seeks an experienced Business and Finance Controlling Manager for its London office to lead financial planning, P&L management and business partnering across its global retail network.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of P&L, budget and forecasts, serving as the key link between accounting and business to ensure financial results are accurately reflected and translated into actionable business insights
  • Search for and collect information required to prepare budgets, forecasts and long-term plans, ensuring implementation and compliance whilst accounting for all business indicators
  • Analyse turnover by store, product, category and country across Retail and Outlet channels, coordinating with Retail Merchandising and Retail Management to align market needs with corporate goals
  • Coordinate definition and monitoring of sales targets by store on a monthly basis
  • Ensure business plans are appropriately documented and communicated, working with stakeholders to maintain consistency with corporate objectives
  • Provide clear, accurate and timely reporting to senior management, ensuring alignment of expectations and consistent communication across all business levels
  • Lead monitoring and analysis of business performance, identifying risks and opportunities whilst continuously tracking key performance indicators and business trends
  • Analyse P&L statements by store and area, preparing overhead reports by cost centre and cost nature, monitoring performance against budget objectives
  • Contribute to development of business plans for new projects including store openings, restylings and relocations
  • Build and improve capabilities and processes within the finance team, developing a customer-led business partnering function through regular reviews
  • Act as a true business partner across non-finance teams including Marketing, HR, Retail and Operations/Logistics, translating financial data into actionable insights
  • Provide monthly status updates on inventory position and sell-through performance
  • Create ad hoc analyses and reports to support business decision-making

Qualifications

  • Degree in Economics or related field
  • Significant experience in a similar controlling or business partnering role, ideally gained within international organizations
  • Excellent IT skills with ability to work across multiple data sources and software applications
  • Outstanding Excel proficiency and strong analytical capability for financial reporting
  • Commercial acumen combined with technical strength and ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
  • Exceptional communication, leadership and mentoring skills across all organizational levels
  • Strategic thinking combined with flexibility to operate as a hands-on team member
  • High integrity and openness with commitment to good governance
  • Fluent in English; Italian language knowledge preferred
