Assistant Retail Merchandising Manager opportunity at Prada Shanghai—manage buying and merchandising for men's ready-to-wear across premium retail locations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and manage buying budgets and merchandise selection strategy for men's ready-to-wear category across assigned boutiques
- Maintain comprehensive stock records including receipts, holdings, and sales data for management reporting and analysis
- Coordinate merchandise allocation and replenishment to ensure optimal stock levels across all retail locations
- Establish monthly, seasonal, and annual sales targets for each location and monitor performance against targets
- Source and procure merchandise while managing order confirmation, shipment logistics, and receipt coordination with Italian suppliers
- Collaborate with visual merchandising teams to ensure all boutiques maintain brand presentation standards and retail policy compliance
- Compile and submit regular sales reports, inventory analyses, forecasts, and budget documentation as required
- Provide comprehensive product training to retail staff to ensure in-depth collection knowledge and customer advisory capability
- Partner with shop managers to optimize daily retail operations and drive commercial results
- Lead and mentor direct report merchandising assistant
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in luxury retail and merchandising, specifically in men's ready-to-wear
- Advanced knowledge of fashion design principles and merchandise business operations
- Proficiency in analytical and reporting methodologies
- Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Demonstrated leadership and management capability
- Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with regional and global teams
