Leading luxury brand — Bangkok: Assistant Accounting Manager role in Bangkok responsible for financial reporting, month‑end close and compliance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and execute month‑end and year‑end close procedures for the Thailand entity; ensure timely, accurate financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger activities; ensure reconciliations and balance‑sheet integrity across all legal entities.
- Prepare statutory and management reporting, including VAT, withholding tax filings and other local regulatory submissions; liaise with tax advisors as required.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, providing explanations and implementing audit recommendations.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls and accounting policies; drive compliance with corporate finance directives and local regulations.
- Supervise and develop a small accounting team; oversee workload allocation, coaching and performance reviews.
- Collaborate with commercial, retail and supply‑chain partners to resolve accounting issues and support month‑end accruals, stock reconciliations and intercompany settlements.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and ad‑hoc financial analysis to support business decision‑making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a closely related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification preferred (ACCA, CIMA, Thai CPA or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of Thai statutory reporting, VAT and corporate tax requirements; familiarity with IFRS.
- Proven supervisory experience, ideally within retail, luxury goods or FMCG environments.
- High level of integrity, rigor and attention to detail with demonstrable ability to improve controls and processes.

Experience
Typically 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant management role; experience in a multinational or retail/luxury environment is highly advantageous.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional accreditation (ACCA, CIMA, Thai CPA) preferred.
