Confidential luxury house in Seoul is hiring an Accountant (Contractor).
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage month‑end and quarter‑end close activities: prepare and post journal entries, ensure timely reconciliations and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
- Perform account reconciliations including intercompany, trade payables/receivables and balance sheet accounts; investigate and resolve variances.
- Support statutory and management reporting: prepare ledger analyses, P&L and balance sheet schedules and contribute to monthly management packs.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and group accounting policies (K‑IFRS); assist with VAT, local tax filings and regulatory enquiries as required.
- Coordinate with regional finance and HQ: provide documentation and explanations for consolidation, transfer pricing and intercompany settlements.
- Facilitate external and internal audits by preparing working papers, responding to auditor requests and implementing recommended controls.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting processes and ERP configurations to improve efficiency and control.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting certification preferred (e.g., CPA, ACCA or Korean equivalent).
- Solid knowledge of K‑IFRS and local tax/regulatory requirements applicable to retail businesses.
- Demonstrable accuracy, analytical rigour and strong organisational skills to manage competing month‑end priorities.
- Professional proficiency in business English and the ability to liaise with international stakeholders is advantageous.

Experience
Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within retail, consumer goods or luxury sectors; prior exposure to multinational reporting and intercompany accounting is highly desirable.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent; professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA or Korean equivalent) preferred.
