DoDo seeks a Technical Design & 3D Product Development Specialist in Milano for maternity cover. Lead jewelry CAD modeling and product industrialization with Rhinoceros expertise.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop 3D CAD models for new products and design modifications using specialized jewelry design software
- Translate creative concepts into technically feasible industrial production solutions
- Create and update technical drawings, product specifications, bills of materials and manufacturing documentation
- Support prototype development, sampling, testing and validation activities, including operation of resin 3D printing and laser machines
- Collaborate with Design, Product Development, Industrialization, Quality and Production teams throughout development cycles
- Interface with external suppliers, model makers and manufacturers on technical product development and industrialization matters
- Perform technical feasibility assessments and support implementation of product improvements
- Contribute to industrialization of new products while ensuring manufacturability and compliance with quality standards
- Maintain accuracy of technical data within PLM and company management systems
- Support troubleshooting and problem-solving activities related to product development and production
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within product development and technical processes
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in Product Development, Technical Office, Industrialization or Technical Design roles, preferably within jewelry, luxury or fashion accessories industries
- Strong knowledge of jewelry manufacturing processes including prototyping, casting, assembly, finishing and industrialization
- Proficiency in reading and creating technical drawings and product specifications
- Knowledge of materials and manufacturing techniques relevant to jewelry development
- Strong expertise in Rhinoceros CAD software
- Experience with PLM systems and technical documentation management
- Experience with resin prototyping machines and 3D printing technologies preferred
- Fluent Italian and English language proficiency
Skills
Experience
3–5 years of experience in Product Development, Technical Office, Industrialization or Technical Design roles, preferably within the jewelry, luxury or fashion accessories industry. Demonstrated proficiency with jewelry manufacturing processes and industrialization workflows.
Education
Technical education or equivalent professional qualification in product design, engineering, industrial design or jewelry design preferred.
Workplace
This position is based in Milano, Lombardy, Italy.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 30,000 per annum.
