DoDo seeks a Senior Art Director in Milan to shape its visual identity and lead creative projects across campaigns, digital platforms, activations, content, and brand communications. The role requires 6–8 years of relevant creative experience and fluency in Italian and English; the applicable CCNL is Goldsmiths, Silversmiths, and Jewelry Industry, with indicative starting compensation of €50,000 and eligibility for sales incentives.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead creative concepts and visual directions for campaigns, digital platforms, brand activations, content productions, and brand communications from briefing through final delivery.
- Translate brand objectives and strategic briefs into distinctive, consistent visual concepts reflecting DoDo’s identity and positioning.
- Develop and present creative concepts, mood boards, visual territories, treatments, storyboards, and art direction proposals, explaining the creative rationale for each project.
- Develop and oversee the creative execution of photoshoots, content productions, and other projects, translating creative direction into compelling visual outcomes and collaborating with photographers, filmmakers, stylists, set designers, agencies, and external creative partners.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining creative quality and meeting deadlines, budgets, and production requirements.
- Conduct ongoing creative, cultural, and industry research, identifying emerging trends, visual languages, cultural movements, artists, photographers, designers, and references that can inform and evolve the brand’s creative expression.
- Review and refine creative work throughout development, maintaining high standards of execution, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.
- Support the Head of Image and Creative Production and the Creative Director in defining and evolving the brand’s broader visual language and creative direction.
- Manage presentations and creative reviews with internal stakeholders and external partners, communicating creative ideas effectively and securing alignment.
- Contribute to developing and maintaining brand guidelines and creative standards across markets and channels.
Qualifications
- 6–8 years of professional experience in Art Direction, Creative Direction, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related creative role, preferably in luxury, fashion, jewelry, lifestyle, or premium brands.
- Proven experience leading creative projects from concept to execution, with a strong portfolio demonstrating a distinctive visual point of view.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize across varying complexity, deadlines, stakeholders, and creative requirements.
- Strong creative research skills and ability to translate cultural, visual, and industry insights into original concepts and relevant visual directions.
- Ability to develop creative ideas from strategic briefs and translate them into coherent visual languages across multiple channels and touchpoints.
- Strong experience with photoshoots and content production, including directing and collaborating effectively with photographers, filmmakers, stylists, agencies, and production partners.
- High autonomy, ownership, and accountability, with a consistent commitment to high-quality, refined, and brand-relevant creative work.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); knowledge of motion design, video editing, and other creative software is a plus.
- Collaborative, solution-oriented mindset and ability to work effectively across functions while maintaining a clear, confident creative point of view.
- Fluency in Italian and English; knowledge of another language is a plus.
