Planning & Merchandising Manager at Pomellato in New York. Oversee inventory planning, assortment execution, and merchandising analysis across retail and wholesale channels.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage Open-to-Buy planning and inventory investments aligned with business objectives
- Monitor inventory productivity, stock health, and assortment coverage across Retail and Wholesale channels
- Execute purchasing, replenishment, and stock rebalancing activities to support operational needs
- Maintain model stock assortments and support assortment optimization initiatives
- Conduct product, inventory, and sales performance analysis to identify productivity and efficiency improvements
- Prepare recurring business reviews, reporting, and presentations to facilitate informed commercial decision-making
- Maintain reporting tools and dashboards to ensure data accuracy and timely delivery of merchandising insights
- Support forecasting processes and performance tracking activities across all channels
- Support collection launches, assortment implementation, and product lifecycle management initiatives
- Collaborate with CRM, Clienteling, marketing, and business initiatives through product analysis and inventory planning
- Partner with Retail, Wholesale, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams on inventory and product matters
- Monitor non-productive inventory and recommend corrective actions
- Support trade shows, events, and special projects through assortment planning and inventory execution
- Support strategic merchandising and business performance initiatives under directional leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Planning, Merchandising, Inventory Management, or related business functions
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, reporting, and data analysis
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into meaningful business insights
- Ability to manage large datasets and build recurring business reporting
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in luxury retail, wholesale, and/or jewelry preferred
- Italian language skills a plus
