Pomellato in Milan seeks a Merchandise Planning Intern to support global revenue forecasting, distribution planning and merchandise strategy.

Role & Responsibilities
- Support monthly, quarterly and annual rolling revenue forecasting across all channels at global level, preparing materials and presenting assumptions for review sessions with Regional Sales General Managers.
- Analyse sales variances and communicate key results to inform distribution priorities, sales actions and open-to-buy (OTB) / purchase budget reviews.
- Contribute to the development of the Merchandise Plan, translating sales targets into granular merchandising requirements by category and channel worldwide.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners — Sales, Finance Controlling, Customer Services, Demand Planning and Sales Merchandising — to consolidate business insights and improve forecast accuracy.
- Maintain organised documentation and datasets to support forecasting cycles and ad hoc analytical requests.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Management Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical mindset with demonstrated problem-solving capability.
- Advanced Excel proficiency for modelling and data analysis.
- High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive, proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Fluent in English and Italian.

Experience
Early-career internship level. Prior internship or academic project experience in forecasting, merchandising, demand planning or related analytical roles is advantageous but not mandatory.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Management Engineering.
