Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform in‑process and final inspections on the production line to ensure conformity with Piaget quality standards and technical specifications.
  • Detect, document and classify non‑conformities; initiate containment and corrective actions and follow up until resolution.
  • Maintain and execute control plans, sampling procedures and inspection routines; adapt controls to new products or process changes.
  • Operate and calibrate metrology equipment (micrometers, calipers, gauges, stereomicroscope; coordinate measuring machine where applicable) and maintain measurement traceability.
  • Collaborate closely with production supervisors, assembly teams and manufacturing engineering to implement continuous improvement and reduce defect rates.
  • Support internal and external quality audits, ensure traceability of quality records, and contribute to quality reporting and KPI tracking.
  • Train and coach line operators on inspection techniques, quality criteria and proper documentation procedures.

Qualifications

  • Vocational diploma in watchmaking, mechanical engineering, precision mechanics or equivalent hands‑on qualification.
  • Demonstrable manual dexterity and visual acuity appropriate for fine mechanics and watchmaking assembly.
  • Knowledge of quality methods and corrective action methodologies (e.g. 8D, root cause analysis, FMEA).
  • Familiarity with inspection equipment and metrology best practices; ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong aptitude for documentation, traceability and adherence to formal quality systems.

Skills

Visual inspection with stereomicroscope Micrometer, caliper and gauge use Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) — operation or interpretation ISO 9001 / quality system principles 8D problem solving FMEA Statistical Process Control (SPC) SAP (quality or production modules) — desirable

Experience

Typically 2–5 years of quality control experience in precision manufacturing or luxury watchmaking, including direct work on assembly lines and hands‑on inspection of small mechanical components.

Education

Vocational diploma (watchmaking/precision mechanics) or equivalent technical qualification; relevant on‑the‑job experience accepted in lieu of formal education.
