Penhaligon's seeks a Fragrance Specialist in Bicester Village. Retail role delivering personalised fragrance consultations and driving sales in a luxury boutique.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised fragrance consultations to walk-in and appointment clients, guiding selection through scent profiling and storytelling.
- Achieve and exceed individual and store sales targets through proactive clienteling, upselling, and basket optimisation.
- Maintain immaculate boutique presentation and execute visual merchandising standards to reflect brand guidelines.
- Operate the point-of-sale, process transactions accurately and manage stock replenishment, returns and exchanges.
- Develop and maintain client records for follow-up, sampling programs and event invitations, ensuring exceptional aftercare.
- Support in-store launches, promotional activity and community events to drive footfall and brand awareness.
Qualifications
- Proven retail experience, ideally within fragrance, cosmetics or luxury beauty (typically 1+ years).
- Demonstrable passion for perfumery and working knowledge of fragrance families, notes and composition.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused approach.
- Flexible availability to work weekends and peak trading periods; legal entitlement to work in the UK.

Experience
Previous experience in retail sales, preferably within luxury beauty or fragrance, with a track record of meeting sales KPIs and delivering high-quality client service.
Education
Secondary education (GCSE/A-level or equivalent) is required; vocational training or certificates in beauty, cosmetics or perfumery are advantageous.
