  • Select and operate polishing machines, rotary tools, buffing wheels and appropriate polishing compounds for different metals (stainless steel, gold, platinum).
  • Execute hand-finishing techniques — brushing, satin-finishing, mirror polishing and deburring — ensuring consistent grain direction and flawless surfaces.
  • Inspect finished parts using loupe/microscope and visual gauges; report and rectify any imperfections before assembly.
  • Collaborate closely with watchmakers, quality control and finishing supervisors to ensure on-time delivery and conformity with technical drawings and quality standards.
  • Maintain polishing tools and workbench cleanliness; follow atelier safety, contamination-control and material-handling procedures.
  • Document work performed and contribute to continuous-improvement initiatives to refine finishing processes.

Qualifications

  • Proven manual dexterity and excellent fine-motor control; steady hands and precision orientation.
  • Practical experience in watch finishing, metal polishing, jewelry polishing or similar fine-metalwork (preferred 1–3 years).
