Patek Philippe in Geneva seeks a Watch Movement Constructor to assemble and regulate mechanical calibres with precision and artisanal skill.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assemble, adjust and regulate mechanical watch movements and sub-assemblies to Patek Philippe quality standards.
- Perform delicate components fitting, jewelling, lubrication and timing using microscopes and fine watchmaking tools.
- Execute precision adjustments of escapements, gear trains and regulators to achieve certified timing and reliability.
- Carry out in-process inspection and final quality control, documenting measurements and non-conformities.
- Hand-finish and perform minor corrective work on components (polishing, anglage, burr removal) where required.
- Collaborate with restoration, service and prototyping teams to ensure consistent assembly practices and knowledge transfer.
- Maintain a clean, compliant workstation and adhere strictly to company procedures, traceability and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Vocational qualification in watchmaking (e.g., CFC/CFP, CAP, WOSTEP certificate) or equivalent technical training.
- Demonstrable manual dexterity and exceptional visual acuity for micro-mechanical work.
- Thorough understanding of mechanical calibre architecture and watchmaking terminology.
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed assembly instructions.
- Commitment to precision, patience and adherence to exacting quality standards.
Skills
Experience
Several years of hands-on experience assembling and regulating mechanical watch movements; prior exposure to high-end or complication calibres is strongly preferred.
Education
Vocational diploma in watchmaking (CFC/CFP/CAP) or an internationally recognised watchmaking certification such as WOSTEP; equivalent technical qualifications will be considered.
