Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the transfer of new watch models and movement developments from prototype to series production, establishing robust industrial processes and timelines.
  • Define assembly sequences, tooling, jigs and workstations; specify control plans, inspection criteria and test protocols for pilot and series builds.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with R&D, production workshops, quality, supply chain and suppliers to ensure manufacturability and on-time industrial validation.
  • Develop and validate pre-series and pilot runs; analyse non-conformities and implement corrective actions to stabilise production yields.
  • Qualify suppliers for components, tools and outsourced operations; support incoming inspection requirements and capability studies.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation: process sheets, work instructions, PFMEA, control plans and production validation reports.
  • Drive cost-to-manufacture optimisation while safeguarding finishing and quality standards intrinsic to haute horlogerie.
  • Train production operators and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives (5S/lean methods) within the workshops.

Qualifications

  • Degree or technical diploma in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or horology (WOSTEP or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in industrialization or production engineering within watchmaking or precision mechanical manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of watch assembly, movement components and micro‑mechanical tolerances.
  • Experience with process validation, PFMEA and production transfer methodologies.
  • Ability to read and produce technical drawings and apply geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T).
