Patek Philippe seeks a Technical Draughtsman in Plan-Les-Ouates, Switzerland to support R&D with CAD design and technical drawing expertise.
Role & Responsibilities
- Create assembly drawings and detailed technical plans using SolidWorks CAD software based on validated specifications and design briefs
- Prepare nomenclatures and technical datasheets to ensure traceability and clarity of technical information
- Update and revise existing technical drawings in compliance with internal procedures and standards
- Provide technical support and recommendations to engineering teams to drive continuous process improvement
- Produce prototype mechanisms and mockups in plexiglass or via 3D printing technology as required
- Ensure adherence to Swiss watchmaking standards (NIHS) and international technical specifications
Qualifications
- CFC (Federal Certificate) or equivalent in micromechanical draughtsmanship/technical drawing
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software
- Advanced competency in GPS dimensioning and technical standards
- Solid knowledge of watchmaking fundamentals, including watch movements and complications
- Familiarity with machining processes and industrial manufacturing technologies
- Knowledge of Swiss Watchmaking International Standards (NIHS) preferred
- Fluency in MS Office suite
- Excellent interpersonal and client relations skills with strong diplomatic acumen
- Demonstrated analytical and synthetic thinking with adaptability to evolving requirements
- Meticulous attention to detail and precision orientation
Skills
Experience
2-5 years in a comparable technical drawing or micromechanical design role, including active participation in engineering projects from conception through documentation and manufacturing support.
Education
CFC (Swiss Federal Certificate) in micromechanical draughtsmanship or equivalent technical qualification in design or engineering drafting.
