Patek Philippe seeks an experienced Surface Treatment Technician to oversee all operations related to galvanic plating and component preparation at the Saint-Imier production facility. The successful candidate will independently execute surface finishing processes for watch components such as dials and appliqués, whilst ensuring quality compliance and maintaining all treatment baths and production equipment to the highest standards.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute preparation and galvanic plating operations on watch components with full autonomy
- Maintain and treat galvanic baths and all production equipment according to specification
- Perform colour and finish verification tests on completed components
- Verify component conformity and conduct self-inspection to ensure quality standards are met
Qualifications
- AFP Assistant en Traitement de Surface (Surface Treatment Assistant diploma) or CFC Electroplaste (Electroplating diploma)
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience if holding relevant formal qualification
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience if without formal qualification
- Proficiency in galvanic plating techniques and surface treatment processes
- Meticulous attention to detail and quality control standards
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in surface treatment and galvanic plating, ideally within the watchmaking and haute horlogerie sector. Experience with similar technical operations and equipment is essential.
Education
AFP Assistant en Traitement de Surface (Surface Treatment Assistant qualification) or CFC Electroplaste (Electroplating qualification). The formal diploma is mandatory for candidates with fewer than 5 years of experience.
