Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules to meet customer delivery dates while optimising capacity and resource utilisation across workshops.
  • Translate sales orders and master production plans into daily and weekly work plans; prioritise jobs and sequence operations according to technical constraints.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with watchmaking ateliers, supply chain, purchasing, quality control and service teams to ensure materials and components are available when required.
  • Monitor workflow progress, track manufacturing KPIs (lead times, throughput, on-time delivery) and implement corrective actions to mitigate delays.
  • Manage expediting activities and escalate critical bottlenecks to production management with recommended remediation measures.
  • Maintain accurate production records and update the ERP/MRP system with progress, inventory reservations and routing changes.
  • Participate in capacity planning, shift planning and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/5S) to increase efficiency and reduce lead times.
  • Prepare regular reports for production leadership and contribute to weekly planning reviews and change-control meetings.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in production planning or scheduling within precision manufacturing; experience in watchmaking or high-precision assembly strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of MRP/ERP-driven planning and material flow management.
  • Demonstrable ability to prioritise competing demands and manage complex shop-floor constraints.
  • Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in production metrics and reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience working in cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
