Role & Responsibilities

  • Define, develop and industrialise production processes for precision watch components and assemblies to meet quality, cost and delivery targets.
  • Create and maintain clear process documentation: work instructions, control plans, job setups and validation protocols.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives (lean methods, Kaizen, SMED) to increase throughput, reduce variability and optimise takt times.
  • Conduct process capability studies, FMEA and root-cause analyses; implement corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with quality and production teams.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional activities with R&D, prototyping, tooling, suppliers and production operators to ensure robust transfer to series production.
  • Define tooling, fixturing and inspection requirements and oversee pilot runs and process validations.
  • Train and coach production teams on new methods, process controls and best practices for micro‑mechanical assembly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, micro‑mechanics or equivalent; advanced technical training in watchmaking (WOSTEP or equivalent) is an asset.
  • Demonstrable experience with process industrialisation in precision manufacturing, preferably within watchmaking, micro‑mechanics or luxury goods.
  • Strong command of process analysis tools: FMEA, SPC, root cause analysis (8D), and capability studies.
  • Proven ability to author technical documentation and to lead pilot runs and production validations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with experience working in cross‑functional, multilingual teams.
