Patek Philippe in Geneva seeks an Industrialization Quality Assurance Manager to lead quality during new-product industrialization.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead quality assurance activities throughout product industrialization from prototype transfer to serial production, ensuring specifications are met at each milestone.
- Define and deploy control plans, inspection criteria and sampling strategies for new assemblies and components.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, production, supply chain, suppliers and R&D) to resolve quality issues and expedite product launch.
- Establish and monitor quality KPIs during industrialization, report progress to senior stakeholders and recommend corrective actions.
- Drive root cause analysis for non-conformities using structured methodologies and oversee implementation of robust corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Manage supplier quality during ramp-up, including supplier qualification, incoming inspection criteria and on-site audits where required.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives (process capability, yields, defect reduction) and standardise best practices across production sites.
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards and regulatory requirements relevant to watchmaking and precision mechanics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, watchmaking or a related technical discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven management experience in quality assurance within precision manufacturing, micro-mechanics or watchmaking, with responsibility for industrialization phases.
- Practical knowledge of quality methodologies such as FMEA, APQP, PPAP, 8D and root-cause analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and manage supplier quality during product ramp-up.
- Fluency in technical documentation and the ability to present quality findings to senior leadership.

Typically requires 5+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance within precision manufacturing or horology, including direct responsibility for industrialization or product introduction programs; experience with supplier quality and cross-functional project leadership is essential.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, watchmaking or equivalent; advanced degree or formal quality certifications advantageous.
