OTB seeks a Treasury Intern in Milan to support cash management, bank reconciliation and cash forecasting for the corporate treasury team.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support daily cash management activities including monitoring bank balances, initiating payment runs and executing cash sweeps.
- Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies with banks and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and update short- and medium-term cash forecasts and consolidated liquidity reports for the treasury team.
- Assist with intercompany cash movements, payment reconciliations and trade finance documentation.
- Maintain and populate treasury reporting templates and dashboards; prepare month-end treasury schedules and variance analyses.
- Liaise with banking partners and internal finance teams to resolve queries and support account administration.
- Contribute to process-improvement initiatives and small ad-hoc treasury projects, including system data cleansing and automation tasks.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related discipline.
- Strong numerical aptitude and demonstrable analytical skills; attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, basic macros) and an appetite to learn treasury systems.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Discretion and understanding of confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information.
- Prior internship or coursework in treasury, corporate finance, accounting or banking is desirable.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Italian preferred.
