Maison Margiela (OTB) is hiring a Team Leader in Rome — lead boutique operations, sales and client experience for the maison.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead day‑to‑day boutique operations in accordance with Maison Margiela brand standards, ensuring an elevated client experience.
- Coach, develop and roster a high‑performing sales team; conduct performance reviews and deliver ongoing training on product knowledge and selling techniques.
- Drive achievement of sales targets, KPIs and store profitability through effective merchandising, clienteling and conversion strategies.
- Own clienteling activities and CRM usage to build and sustain long‑term relationships with key clients, including outreach and after‑sales service.
- Manage shift operations: opening/closing procedures, cash reconciliation, stockroom control and loss‑prevention protocols.
- Implement visual merchandising directives and maintain floor standards to reflect seasonal campaigns and product storytelling.
- Coordinate local store events and collaborate with regional marketing on in‑store activations to drive footfall and brand visibility.
- Prepare routine sales and operational reports for the Store Manager/Area Manager and escalate risks or opportunities promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory or team‑lead experience in luxury fashion retail, ideally within a premium or designer boutique.
- Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing KPIs.
- Strong coaching skills with experience delivering product and sales training to frontline teams.
- Excellent organisational abilities, including cash handling, stock control and shift planning.
- Fluent interpersonal skills with professional presentation and client service standards appropriate to luxury retail.
- Right to work in Italy and availability to work retail hours, including weekends and evenings.
