Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the boutique sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets and KPI objectives.
- Own daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, POS reconciliation and loss-prevention procedures.
- Deliver exceptional client experience through personalised clienteling, appointment management and after-sales follow-up.
- Coach, train and develop team members on product knowledge, selling techniques and maison service standards.
- Implement visual merchandising directives and ensure the store presentation reflects brand guidelines and seasonal campaigns.
- Manage inventory processes: receiving, stock rotation, replenishment and regular stocktakes in coordination with wholesale/e‑commerce teams.
- Produce accurate sales and operational reports; escalate insights and local market feedback to district management.
- Support recruitment, shift planning and performance reviews; act as the store manager’s deputy where required.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to lead a small retail team with strong interpersonal and coaching skills.
- Excellent commercial acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a retail environment.
- Deep product interest and ability to communicate Maison Margiela’s aesthetic and craftsmanship to clients.
- High standards of presentation, punctuality and operational discipline including cash and stock control.
- Fluent in the local language with professional verbal communication skills; multilingual ability is advantageous.
- Flexible availability including weekends, evenings and peak seasonal periods.

Experience
Typically 3+ years of retail experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team‑lead capacity, preferably within luxury fashion or premium apparel.
Education
Secondary education (Baccalauréat or equivalent); vocational qualification in retail, fashion or business is preferred but not mandatory.
