OTB seeks a Store Planning and Construction Project Manager in Milan to lead retail build-outs and refurbishments for its designer brands.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end store planning and construction projects including new openings, relocations and refurbishments across assigned markets.
  • Define and manage project budgets, schedules and milestone plans; deliver projects on time and within cost targets.
  • Coordinate technical design development with architects, interior designers and brand creative teams to ensure compliance with brand standards and client experience objectives.
  • Manage procurement and supervision of contractors, consultants and FF&E suppliers; oversee tendering, contracting and on-site execution.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and obtain required permits and approvals from local authorities; liaise with landlords and property managers.
  • Implement quality-control procedures and site inspections; supervise handover, commissioning and post‑opening snagging.
  • Collaborate with retail operations, visual merchandising and store development teams to align technical solutions with operational needs.
  • Prepare regular project reports and risk registers for senior stakeholders; drive continuous improvement and lessons-learned processes.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple retail fit-out or construction projects from conception to handover.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience controlling budgets, costs and contractor performance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills across multi-disciplinary and multicultural teams.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to project sites and work across different time zones.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2) or chartered status are advantageous.

Experience
