Jil Sander, an international luxury fashion brand established in 1968 and part of the OTB Fashion Group, seeks a Store Manager for its Soho location in New York. The Store Manager serves as the business owner of store results, responsible for delivering sales and profitability targets while embodying the brand's design-forward identity in every client interaction. This role commands all aspects of store performance: commercial outcomes, client development, team leadership, visual and operational standards, and corporate compliance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain full command of business strategy and translate it into actions delivering sales and financial targets
- Build store strategy and annual action plan, establishing clear roadmaps for sales and financial achievement
- Communicate and track store sales and KPIs, providing context and rationale for business results
- Review profit and loss reports monthly and develop action plans to address expense controls
- Deliver against expense budgets by actively monitoring and controlling all expense items
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly analysis of business and product reporting to anticipate shifts in performance
- Own recruitment, development, and performance management for the store team
- Foster an inspiring environment for engagement and learning that empowers team members to reach their potential
- Ensure every team member is fully trained in job responsibilities and aligned to store objectives
- Train team on new and existing company policies and procedures
- Identify individual strengths and development areas, building targeted development plans
- Train and hold team accountable to customer service standards
- Ensure all staff are properly trained in POS transaction handling and cash management
- Lead and follow up on the clientele program, ensuring sales professionals develop and retain long-term clients
- Hold clienteling processes to consistently high standards across the store
- Develop and grow the existing customer database
- Ensure CRM is executed within company standards
- Partner with supervisors and store team to resolve customer issues to satisfaction
- Execute all aspects of daily store operations including logistics, stock flow, inventory control, and floor readiness
- Maximize efficiency and protect business integrity by applying store operations policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, well-maintained store supporting efficient operations and comfortable shopping experience
- Ensure accuracy in all POS transactions, cash handling, and banking procedures
- Adhere to all banking and accounting policies
- Review store schedules weekly to confirm appropriate floor coverage and disciplined payroll management
- Manage store headcount and payroll budgets within company targets
- Use company scheduling tools proactively to plan coverage that drives productivity and maximizes business potential
- Lead and monitor store merchandise standards to ensure alignment with company direction
- Manage best-seller and slow-seller performance, collaborating with company to advocate for store needs
- Partner with visual associate to manage merchandising to maximize sales
- Implement all visual standards and guidelines, maintaining product and display presentations to standard
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in retail management or related role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Experience in retail, luxury retail, or service-oriented organization
- Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize in fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and early/late shifts
- Previous client book preferred
- Financial management experience

Experience
5+ years in retail management or related retail role, with preference for luxury retail experience. Previous client book and financial management experience strongly preferred.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 110,000 to USD 115,000 per annum.
