OTB seeks a Stock Keeper at Selfridges, London — responsible for inventory control, stock replenishment and back‑of‑house operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect inbound deliveries; verify quantities against delivery notes and report discrepancies.
- Unpack, label and store merchandise in accordance with stockroom layout and brand presentation standards.
- Replenish salesfloor stock and ensure accurate, timely merchandising of product on the shop floor.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and participate in full stocktakes to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Process returns, transfers and markdowns; prepare items for redistribution or back‑of‑house storage.
- Maintain a safe, tidy and secure stockroom environment, complying with health & safety and loss‑prevention procedures.
- Support the store team during peak trading, events and visual merchandising resets as required.
- Record stock movements and discrepancies in the store’s inventory system and escalate issues to management.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a stockroom, warehouse or retail environment preferred.
- Physical capability to lift and manoeuvre merchandise safely (frequent lifting and standing).
- Strong attention to detail and numeracy for accurate stock handling and record keeping.
- Reliable timekeeping and the ability to work flexible retail hours including weekends.
- Right to work in the UK and adherence to store operational policies.
- Basic understanding of stock control processes and loss‑prevention practices.
Skills
Experience
Preferably 1+ year of experience in a retail stockroom, warehouse or distribution environment; experience within a department store or luxury retail context is an advantage.
Education
Secondary education (GCSEs or equivalent) or relevant vocational qualification.
