OTB is hiring a Part-Time Sales Associate at Yorkdale (Toronto). Join the retail team to deliver luxury customer service and drive sales.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver an elevated, brand-appropriate client experience on the sales floor, proactively engaging customers and converting visits into sales.
- Maintain expert product knowledge across seasonal collections and communicate brand DNA to clients with clarity and style.
- Execute clienteling activities: build and maintain client records, manage follow-ups, and support VIP appointments and private client events.
- Operate the point-of-sale system, process transactions, returns and exchanges accurately, and handle cash and card payments following company procedures.
- Support visual merchandising and upkeep of the sales floor to brand presentation standards, including replenishment and window displays as directed.
- Assist with inventory management: receive and unpack deliveries, perform stock counts, and ensure shrinkage prevention and loss-prevention protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with store colleagues and management on daily store operations, achieving individual and store sales targets for assigned shifts.
Qualifications
- Previous retail experience, ideally within contemporary or luxury fashion; part-time candidates with strong customer service backgrounds will be considered.
- Demonstrable ability to deliver high-touch customer service and build long-term client relationships.
- Comfortable with transactional duties including POS use, cash handling and returns processing.
- Flexible availability to work weekends, evenings and peak retail periods at Yorkdale Shopping Centre.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
Skills
Experience
Typically 1+ year of retail or customer-facing sales experience is preferred; experience in luxury or premium fashion retail is an advantage but not strictly required for strong candidates.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary coursework in fashion, retail or business is an asset.
