OTB is hiring a Retail Training Manager, North America (New York). Lead retail L&D, LMS operations and regional trainer networks for the group's brands.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, implement and continuously refine a comprehensive retail training strategy for North America encompassing onboarding, product knowledge, selling skills and brand standards.
- Develop modular curricula and blended learning pathways (classroom, e‑learning, on-the-floor coaching) and manage all associated learning content.
- Operate and administrate the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring training deployment, tracking and reporting across store networks.
- Partner with regional directors, store managers, HR and commercial teams to cascade initiatives, align priorities and ensure consistent brand execution.
- Recruit, train and coach a network of store trainers/mentors and assess trainer effectiveness through ride‑alongs, audits and KPI analysis.
- Measure training impact through quantitative and qualitative metrics (sales conversion, average basket, mystery shopping, retention) and deliver regular performance reports to senior stakeholders.
- Manage external training vendors and e‑learning development partners, and oversee related budgets and timelines.
- Travel regularly across North America to deliver training, execute rollouts and support high‑priority retail initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience designing and delivering retail training programs at a regional level; experience within luxury, premium or fashion retail preferred.
- Demonstrable success coaching managers and frontline teams to improve selling techniques and operational standards.
- Strong project management skills with experience launching blended learning solutions and managing LMS operations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience working cross-functionally (HR, retail operations, merchandising).
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently across the North American territory.

Experience
Typically 5+ years in retail learning & development or field training roles, with at least several years managing regional programmes, trainer networks or retail L&D projects; prior exposure to luxury or premium retail environments is strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Education, or equivalent professional experience preferred.
