Maison Margiela seeks a Retail Trainer in Seoul, Korea to lead training programs and drive retail excellence across luxury fashion retail operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize and deliver comprehensive retail training programs including classroom sessions, digital learning, and in-store coaching covering product knowledge, collections, selling techniques and client experience
  • Deliver Maison Margiela's Selling Ceremony and product training to strengthen selling excellence and support KPI achievement
  • Partner closely with the Merchandising team to design and deliver seasonal product training, ensuring Retail teams are fully equipped to support new launches and storytelling
  • Identify capability gaps through store observations, coaching sessions, KPI analysis and feedback from Retail leadership
  • Provide regular in-store coaching and follow-up to reinforce learning, improve selling behaviors and elevate client experience
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, observations, and business performance indicators, and recommend improvement plans
  • Collaborate with Retail, HR, Merchandising and HQ stakeholders to localize and execute global learning initiatives
  • Coordinate and manage training operations, including the annual training calendar, classroom scheduling, participant management and training materials
  • Coordinate and deliver onboarding training programs for newly hired Retail employees
  • Monitor Mystery Shopping and NPS results, identify areas for improvement, and develop action plans to enhance customer experience
  • Stay abreast of Maison Margiela's product portfolio, industry trends and competitor activities to continuously enhance training quality
  • Champion Maison Margiela's culture and values through all learning initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above with relevant major preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Retail Training, Learning & Development or Retail Operations within the luxury industry
  • Strong understanding of the fashion industry and retail environment
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and MS Office
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment

Experience

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Retail Training, Learning & Development or Retail Operations within the luxury fashion and apparel sector, with demonstrated expertise in developing and delivering training programs that drive retail excellence and sales performance.

Education

Bachelor's degree or above with a major relevant to business, fashion, retail management, human resources or a related field preferred.
