OTB Spa seeks an Accounts Payable Accountant to join its Headquarters in Breganze, Italy, within the Vendor Accounting division of the Shared Service Center (SSC). The successful candidate will manage accounts payable operations across multiple European subsidiaries, handling trade and intercompany invoice processing, vendor reconciliation, and customs documentation verification. This role encompasses fiscal compliance across Italy, Germany, France, Belgium, and the United Kingdom, with growing responsibility for process digitalization and automation initiatives aligned with the group's innovation strategy.
Role & Responsibilities
- Record and process trade and intercompany vendor invoices with accuracy across multiple jurisdictions
- Reconcile vendor accounting statements and verify inventory charges with precision
- Review, reconcile, and account for import customs documentation and related transactions
- Manage period-end closing activities and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Maintain and update vendor master data within ERP systems
- Apply fiscal regulations specific to assigned European countries, including VAT deductibility and cost deduction rules
- Verify and analyze fiscal clauses in vendor contracts and double-taxation agreements
- Collaborate with administrative and fiscal contacts across European group entities
- Support business teams in analyzing new operational processes and addressing complex accounting scenarios
- Identify opportunities for process simplification, standardization, and automation within the payable function
- Participate in continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives
- Contribute to development and pilot testing of digital solutions and artificial intelligence applications
- Monitor and report on outcomes and benefits realized from implemented solutions
Qualifications
- Diploma in Administration and Finance or bachelor's/master's degree in economics or related discipline
- Minimum five years of experience in accounts payable or vendor accounting, preferably in multinational or structured organizations
- Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and fiscal compliance across European markets
- Proficiency in English language
- Demonstrable expertise in SAP S/4HANA and Stealth 3000 (preferred)
- Experience with process improvement, digitalization, or administrative automation projects (preferred)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
- Collaborative team orientation
- Proactive approach to innovation and adaptability to organizational change

Skills
Experience
Minimum five years in accounts payable or vendor accounting roles, preferably within multinational or substantially structured corporate environments. Experience with European fiscal regulations and multi-country consolidation processes is advantageous.
Education
Diploma in Administration and Finance, or bachelor's or master's degree in economics, accounting, business administration, or related disciplines.

The successful candidate will be located in Breganze, Veneto, Italy, with easy access to Vicenza.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from EUR 27,000 to EUR 32,000 per annum.
