Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily operational functions including opening, closing, cash management, and store readiness while maintaining brand presentation standards
- Lead store scheduling, floor coverage, and task delegation to maximize productivity and service levels
- Manage the store's physical environment including safety compliance, maintenance, and housekeeping standards
- Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) as needed, making real-time decisions to support business operations
- Oversee receiving, merchandise processing, and accurate placement in compliance with company procedures
- Manage cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliation processes to maintain inventory accuracy and minimize shrinkage
- Recruit, onboard, and train store associates in operational processes, systems, and customer service standards
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance management to support associate development and accountability
- Foster an inclusive, high-energy team culture aligned with Diesel's values and people-first philosophy
- Champion a service culture that consistently delivers exceptional, on-brand customer experiences

- Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local employment laws, safety regulations, and company policies
- Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular assessments
- Oversee back-of-house organization including stockrooms, merchandise, and cash desks
- Manage merchandise movement including inbound, outbound, transfers, and PR pulls in compliance with procedures
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize losses
- Ensure all IT equipment functions properly and support tickets are opened as needed
- Oversee omnichannel activities including Ship from Store, Pick Up in Store, and system management
- Manage relationships with external vendors including cleaning, HVAC, and supply services
- Coach and develop direct reports in areas of operations, customer service, and sales support
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of retail operations management experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and hold accountable a team of 10 or more associates
- Strong understanding of retail inventory management, POS systems, and back-of-house operations
- Proven track record of executing operational initiatives and driving results in a metrics-driven environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize competing demands
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in retail management systems and inventory management software
- Experience in specialty retail, outlet, or off-price retail environments
- Familiarity with loss prevention practices and inventory audit processes
- Experience managing store operations across multiple selling categories (apparel, footwear, accessories)
