Maison Margiela Operations Associate position in Costa Mesa, CA. Manage inventory, stock, and stockroom operations for a luxury fashion retailer.
Role & Responsibilities
- Process all inventory and stock transactions accurately and promptly to support store sales productivity
- Maintain knowledge of store sales goals and retail policies, communicating understanding to team members
- Ensure merchandise is presented on the sales floor according to company standards and inform the store team of new deliveries
- Inspect store stock for defects and damages, reporting issues to management for timely resolution
- Execute weekly cycle counts and communicate results to the corporate office at month's end
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies and submit adjustments within established timelines
- Monitor consignment and negative inventory reports on a daily basis
- Process incoming and outgoing shipments via retail management systems (Best Store/RPro) and courier services (FedEx/UPS), verifying merchandise within 24 hours
- Maintain a clean and organized stockroom with merchandise arranged by category and readily accessible for sales colleagues
- Execute store opening and closing procedures consistently
- Perform daily and weekly cleaning procedures to maintain department and store cleanliness to company standards
- Mentor newly hired staff on job requirements, policies, and procedures
- Monitor and process online orders via designated platforms
- Report and follow up on unresolved service tickets related to store equipment and software with IT and corporate office
Qualifications
- Previous retail customer service experience in the luxury market
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours per workday
- Capacity to lift up to 70 lbs repetitively and regularly
- Comfortable climbing stairs and ladders repetitively
- Strong vision requirements: close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

3+ years in high-volume stock or operations roles for fashion retailers preferred; previous luxury retail customer service experience required
