Diesel seeks Merchandising Manager for Womenswear & Licensed Goods, North America. Lead product strategy and buying across retail and e-commerce. $100K–$105K, New York.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end merchandising strategy including assortment architecture, SKU efficiency, category segmentation, regional exclusives, and seasonal buying for North American Womenswear and Licensed Goods
- Deliver assortment plans aligned with seasonal net sales and sell-through targets while improving SKU productivity year-over-year
- Manage pre-season and in-season buys, maintaining open-to-buy alignment and inventory to planned weeks of supply
- Partner with Global Merchandising and Product Development to influence product designs and ensure North American market needs are addressed, including sizing, regional tastes, and market trends
- Establish and govern merchandise performance measurement standards, delivering recurring reporting on sell-through, markdown mix, and category contribution
- Lead competitive and trend analysis to identify market opportunities and inform seasonal strategy
- Forecast demand using sales data, client feedback, and market signals; partner with Retail and Visual teams on product presentation impact
- Build and maintain influential cross-functional relationships across Global Merchandising, Planning, Retail, Visual Merchandising, E-commerce, Wholesale, and Finance
- Own regional pricing framework in partnership with headquarters, protecting target AUR while maintaining global price integrity
Qualifications
- 4+ years of progressive merchandising experience in luxury or premium retail
- Demonstrated record of building assortments that deliver measurable sales and attract new clients
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capability with expertise in open-to-buy management, sell-through analysis, and demand forecasting
- Strategic problem-solving orientation with ability to influence decision-makers toward execution
- High-level analytical skills combined with conceptual creative ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including active listening and presentation capability
- Global perspective with strong understanding of competitive landscape
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong project and change management skills with ability to prioritize in fast-paced environments
- Willingness to travel up to 35% including overnight stays and weekends
- Legal authorization to work in the United States

Education
