OTB Spa seeks a Liability Cycle Accountant for its headquarters in Breganze to join the Shared Service Center's Accounts Payable department. The role encompasses invoice processing, VAT compliance analysis, supplier reconciliation, and accrual management across multiple European jurisdictions. The position offers significant opportunities to contribute to process innovation, including digitalization initiatives, robotic process automation, and generative AI applications in accounts payable workflows.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Process and record supplier invoices with accurate application of national tax regulations and VAT deductibility rules across multiple countries
  • Verify and analyze tax clauses in supplier contracts and manage documentation related to double taxation conventions
  • Monitor, control, and reconcile supplier account schedules, annual provisions, and reserve funds
  • Prepare and record accruals for monthly operational closures and year-end financial closing
  • Support the business with analysis of new cash flows and specific operational scenarios
  • Analyze Accounts Payable processes to identify opportunities for simplification, standardization, and automation
  • Collaborate on the development and testing of digital solutions and artificial intelligence applications for AP processes, ensuring internal control and data security compliance
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects with innovative proposals and performance monitoring

Qualifications

  • Secondary accounting diploma or three-year degree in Economics
  • Minimum five years of experience in a similar accounts payable or liability cycle role
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles and VAT regulations
  • Proficiency in English
  • Ability to analyze processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose concrete solutions
  • Interest in digital innovation, process automation, and artificial intelligence applications in administration
  • Data analysis aptitude with ability to translate operational needs into improvement opportunities
  • Determination and goal-oriented mindset

Experience

Education

Secondary accounting diploma (Ragioneria) or three-year bachelor degree in Economics or related field.

This position is based in Breganze, Veneto, Italy, within easy reach of Vicenza.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from EUR 27,000 to EUR 32,000 per annum.
