OTB (Staff International) seeks an HSE Specialist / ASPP in Breganze, Italy — lead occupational safety, compliance and training for production and logistics sites.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain occupational health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and programmes aligned with company standards and applicable national/EU regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments and safety audits across production, warehouse and office environments; identify hazards and drive corrective action plans.
  • Lead incident and near‑miss investigations, prepare root cause analyses and implement preventive measures to reduce recurrence.
  • Deliver HSE training and awareness programmes for employees, supervisors and contractors; track competency and certification records.
  • Coordinate with external authorities, third‑party auditors and service providers for regulatory inspections, permits and compliance reporting.
  • Maintain HSE documentation and management systems (including preparation of KPIs and periodic reporting to senior management).
  • Support business continuity and emergency preparedness planning, including fire safety, first‑aid and evacuation drills.

Qualifications

  • ASPP certification (Agent de Prévention et de Promotion de la Santé au Travail) or equivalent national occupational safety qualification.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in occupational health & safety, environmental science, engineering or related discipline.
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 principles and practical implementation.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply Italian and EU health & safety legislation; familiarity with factory and warehouse environments.
  • Excellent communication and training skills; ability to engage cross‑functional stakeholders and promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Professional command of written and spoken English; local language proficiency (Italian) is highly desirable.

Experience

The successful candidate will be located in Breganze, Veneto, Italy, with easy access to Venice.
