Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate a security team responsible for operating and tuning Layer‑7 security tools and platforms (EDR, EPP, WAF, IDS/IPS, SWG).
  • Oversee management, configuration, patching, monitoring and fine‑tuning of Vulnerability & Application Scanning products and vulnerability management processes.
  • Define and enforce security configuration standards for IT systems, including OS hardening and cloud security controls.
  • Detect, investigate and respond to cyber threats; perform incident evidence gathering, analysis, remediation and post‑incident review.
  • Coordinate with an external SOC, validate their recommendations and drive remediation activities across the organisation.
  • Support definition, development and monitoring of the Group cybersecurity strategy to ensure alignment with business priorities and risk appetite.
  • Ensure and support compliance with major regulatory and standards frameworks (NIS2, GDPR, ISO 27001 and applicable national/EU rules).
  • Evaluate emerging security technologies, promote security governance best practices and update Information Systems Security policies and procedures.
  • Support third‑party risk assessments for vendors and partners involved in data processing.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications or Economics.
  • Minimum eight years' professional experience in cyber security roles with progressive responsibility.
  • Familiarity with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and threat intelligence frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Deep knowledge of regulatory and standards frameworks including NIS2, GDPR and ISO 27001.
  • Professional security certifications highly desirable (e.g., CISSP, CISM, SANS GSEC, CEH).
  • Proven experience in vulnerability management, penetration testing oversight and security operations.
  • Demonstrable influencing and project management skills; experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders at different organisational levels.
  • Hands‑on experience supporting heterogeneous environments (Microsoft Windows, UNIX, macOS, Linux and mobile OS).

At least 8 years of progressive experience in cyber security, including hands‑on management of security tools, incident response, vulnerability management and coordination with cross‑functional stakeholders and external SOC providers.

Education

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications or Economics.
