Role & Responsibilities
- Lead financial controlling and performance analysis for the direct channel (retail and e‑commerce) across European markets, consolidating monthly P&L and KPI reporting.
- Prepare and drive budgeting, rolling forecasts and scenario planning; translate commercial plans into financial targets and actionable metrics.
- Perform margin, SKU and store‑level profitability analysis to support pricing, markdown and assortment decisions.
- Act as a business partner to retail, e‑commerce and commercial teams by providing timely insights, variance explanations and recommendations to optimize sales and margins.
- Design, automate and maintain management reporting packages and dashboards to improve visibility and speed of decision‑making.
- Ensure compliance with group financial policies, internal controls and month‑end close timetables; liaise with central accounting and consolidation teams.
- Support strategic initiatives (store openings/closings, channel pilots, commercial projects) with financial modelling and post‑implementation review.
- Manage and mentor junior finance analysts, coordinating workload and development.
Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or equivalent; master’s degree preferred.
- Professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA, CPA) is advantageous.
- Proven experience in financial controlling or management reporting within retail or fashion, ideally covering direct‑to‑consumer channels across multiple European markets.
- Strong competency in budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis and KPI design.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to translate financial data into commercial insight for non‑financial audiences.

Experience
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance or controlling roles, with demonstrable exposure to retail and e‑commerce operations; prior experience in the luxury or fashion sector and in managing cross‑border reporting is strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent; master’s degree and/or professional accounting qualification preferred.
