Maison Margiela seeks Collection Coordinator for Artisanal & Special Projects in Paris. Manage luxury collection development and artisanal craftsmanship coordination.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the complete development lifecycle of Artisanal collections and Special Projects from creative direction through final delivery
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Design and Artisanal team to translate creative concepts into structured development plans
  • Serve as central point of coordination between Studio, Atelier, Fabrics and Prints, Embroidery, Suppliers and related departments
  • Establish and maintain collection timelines, development milestones, and priorities, ensuring stakeholder alignment
  • Coordinate prototype, sample, fitting, and final piece development while resolving day-to-day technical challenges
  • Monitor materials, techniques, embroideries, artisanal processes, and specialist craftsmanship requirements for each project
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication of project information including technical specifications, sample status, quantities, and deadlines
  • Organize and prepare fittings, collection reviews, presentations, and key development meetings with all necessary materials and samples
  • Maintain transparent collection tracking systems and provide regular updates on progress, risks, priorities, and delays
  • Anticipate potential challenges and proactively coordinate solutions across relevant teams
  • Support budget tracking and ensure development alignment with agreed project parameters
  • Contribute to development of efficient processes and tools to enhance communication, visibility, and organization
  • Provide full team support during collection preparation, show, presentation, and delivery periods, including high-intensity and tight-deadline phases

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in collection coordination, product development, or studio coordination within luxury fashion, preferably haute couture or artisanal sectors
  • Strong understanding of collection development and the specific requirements of artisanal, highly crafted, and special-project work
  • Excellent organizational and project-management capabilities with demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities
  • Exceptional attention to detail with high sensitivity to quality, craftsmanship, and creative intent
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to collaborate effectively with creative and technical teams
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with comfort in fast-paced, highly collaborative environments
  • Ability to anticipate needs, manage deadlines, and maintain strategic oversight while attending to details
  • Fluency in English and French
