OTB / Maison Margiela is hiring a Client Advisor in San Francisco to deliver luxury client service and drive boutique sales.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver a refined, personalised client experience consistent with Maison Margiela brand standards; manage in‑store appointments and spontaneous consultations.
- Develop and nurture long‑term client relationships through proactive clienteling, follow‑up and CRM maintenance to drive repeat business and lifetime value.
- Achieve and exceed individual and store sales targets through consultative selling, upselling and cross‑selling of product assortments.
- Maintain showroom presentation and visual merchandising to corporate guidelines, ensuring product floor sets and displays reflect seasonal directives.
- Operate point‑of‑sale systems, handle transactions and ensure accurate cash and stock handling procedures.
- Support stock replenishment, incoming goods processing and basic inventory reconciliation; liaise with store management on replenishment needs.
- Coordinate and support in‑store events, private viewings and client communications in collaboration with the store leadership and CRM teams.
- Contribute to a cohesive boutique team environment by sharing product knowledge, sales techniques and market feedback with colleagues.
Qualifications
- Proven retail experience in luxury fashion or high‑end boutiques; demonstrable track record of client service and sales performance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a polished, client‑facing demeanour.
- Strong product knowledge and an aptitude for learning seasonal collections and Maison Margiela heritage.
- Trustworthy with respect to cash handling, transaction accuracy and confidentiality of client information.
- Flexibility to work retail hours, including evenings and weekends, and to participate in client events.
Skills
Experience
Typically 1–3 years of customer‑facing experience in luxury retail or boutique sales; prior experience with designer womenswear/menswear is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in retail or customer service and brand‑specific training preferred.
