OTB Korea seeks Business Finance Manager in Seoul to strengthen commercial finance partnership across Diesel, Maison Margiela, Marni, and Jil Sander brands.
Role & Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze brand P&L and store P&L performance across OTB Korea's portfolio, translating financial data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders
- Prepare regular commercial performance reports and management presentations supporting key business decisions, identifying risks, opportunities, and key performance drivers
- Support and coordinate annual operating plan (NOP), budget, and forecast processes, consolidating net sales planning inputs and commercial assumptions across brands and channels
- Monitor and analyze commercial operating expenses by brand, function, and cost category; support budget control through variance analysis and efficiency recommendations
- Collaborate with the Wholesale team to monitor Global Order Book (GOB) progress and track sell-in performance against targets; review accounts receivable collection status to ensure payments align with contractual terms
- Manage cash flow implications from wholesale activities and inventory commitments, identifying and escalating deviations from plan to the Finance Director
- Review and monitor inventory purchase orders for alignment with Open-to-Buy (OTB) plans; coordinate with business teams to ensure delivery timelines and financial commitments remain on schedule
- Track and analyze key commercial KPIs in partnership with business teams, providing financial analysis to support commercial decision-making across retail, wholesale, and multi-channel areas
- Act as a finance partner to Brand, Retail, Merchandising, and Wholesale teams, building trust through collaborative communication and practical financial guidance
- Support Financial Controlling activities and month-end closing processes in coordination with the Corporate Finance team; provide business explanations and analysis for internal reviews and external audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics
- Minimum 6 years of progressive finance experience, including FP&A function experience
- Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, business analytics, and variance analysis
- Strong understanding of P&L, budget forecasting, OPEX management, and business performance analysis
- Experience in wholesale finance, accounts receivable management, or cash flow controlling
- Familiarity with inventory planning, OTB processes, and related financial controls
- Professional understanding of KGAAP and IFRS accounting standards
- Proficiency with SAP, HFM, or similar financial planning platforms
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Power BI
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels
- Fluent written and verbal English skills; Korean native speaker required
Skills
Experience
Solid experience in FP&A, commercial finance, business finance, or financial controlling roles, with a proven track record of supporting multi-brand or complex retail environments. Background in wholesale finance, accounts receivable management, or cash flow controlling is advantageous. Experience in the luxury, fashion, retail, consumer goods, or multi-brand sectors is preferred. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to work in fast-moving environments with hands-on execution, translating financial data into commercially relevant insights for non-finance stakeholders.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics. Professional understanding of KGAAP and IFRS accounting standards is preferred.
