Maison Margiela seeks Business Controller - Product Flow Governance in Paris. Manage inventory operations, financial controls, and cross-functional coordination. €50K–€60K.
Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise all garment movement flows within the headquarters, including extraordinary movements such as press gifts, loans, and archive transfers
- Monitor the correct and consistent application of operating procedures across all functions and ensure all operational transactions are properly recorded in relevant accounting systems
- Track sample collection production orders versus budget by destination and entity, and monitor stock levels while flagging discrepancies between physical and accounting positions
- Identify operational anomalies and risk areas across headquarters flows, leading diagnostic analyses on the operational processes of involved teams
- Produce dashboards and KPIs providing visibility on headquarters product movement activity and inventory status, and prepare reliable financial and operational reports for stakeholders
- Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts and business plans for selected headquarters functions, monitoring departmental costs and analysing variances versus budget
- Act as a business partner between Finance and operational teams, providing financial insights and recommendations to support management decision-making
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Finance, Controlling, Audit, or Economics (ESC, MSG, MSTCF, or equivalent)
- 3 to 5 years of experience in controlling, inventory control, operational finance or business partnering roles
- Strong exposure to stock governance and warehouse processes
- Prior exposure to internal audit or operational consulting
- Experience in the fashion or luxury sector
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
- Fluent in French and English; Italian is an advantage

Experience
3 to 5 years of experience in controlling, inventory control, operational finance or business partnering roles, with strong exposure to stock governance and warehouse processes. Prior experience in internal audit, operational consulting, or the fashion and luxury sector is highly valued. The successful candidate will demonstrate an operational mindset, comfortable working both at headquarters and on the ground, with the ability to coordinate and challenge teams at all levels while earning credibility through competence and cross-functional collaboration.
Education
Master's degree in Finance, Controlling, Audit, or Economics, or equivalent advanced qualification (such as ESC, MSG, or MSTCF).

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from EUR 50,000 to EUR 60,000 per annum.
