OTB / Maison Margiela seeks an Assistant Store Manager in Vancouver to support boutique operations, sales and team leadership.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in achieving and exceeding sales targets through daily coaching, floor leadership and active selling.
- Lead, train and develop sales staff to ensure consistent delivery of the brand’s clienteling standards and service rituals.
- Oversee daily store operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, reconciliation and loss-prevention measures.
- Manage inventory control: stock replenishment, transfers, visual merchandising fidelity and regular stocktakes.
- Execute local merchandising directives and maintain the boutique’s presentation to brand guidelines.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly sales and operational reports; monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Coordinate scheduling, performance feedback and ad hoc recruitment in partnership with regional HR and store leadership.
- Act as the store representative for client complaints, special requests and VIP service escalations, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–4 years of progressive retail experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory or assistant manager capacity—preferably within luxury fashion or premium retail.
- Demonstrable track record of meeting sales targets and coaching teams to commercial performance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-centric approach to selling.
- Proven ability to manage store operations including cash handling, stock control and visual standards.
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and holidays; eligibility to work in Canada.

Education
