OTB is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in Milan — lead boutique operations, sales and client experience for a global fashion group.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets, margin objectives and KPI delivery through daily coaching, visual standards and tactical selling.
- Lead and develop the boutique team: onboard new hires, deliver regular training, run performance reviews and foster a high-service culture for luxury clientele.
- Oversee clienteling activities and CRM usage to drive repeat business, cultivate VIP relationships and ensure personalised guest experiences.
- Manage store operations including stock control, replenishment, visual merchandising, loss prevention procedures and adherence to brand standards.
- Prepare and analyse sales reports, assist with forecasting, staffing rotas and execution of promotional initiatives and in-store events.
- Act as the store contact in the manager's absence, resolving escalations and liaising with regional operations, logistics and headquarters teams.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership within luxury or premium retail (preferably with experience as a deputy/assistant manager).
- Strong commercial acumen with a demonstrable record of meeting or exceeding sales and KPI targets.
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills; ability to inspire a boutique team to deliver exceptional client service.
- Sound organisational skills with experience in stock management, loss prevention and basic P&L awareness.
- Fluent written and spoken communication appropriate for an international retail environment; additional languages are an advantage.

Experience
Typically 2+ years of experience in luxury or premium retail with at least 1 year in a supervisory or assistant management capacity, including responsibility for sales targets, team coaching and daily store operations.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; tertiary qualifications in retail, business or fashion are advantageous but not mandatory.

This position is based in Milan, Lombardy, Italy.
