OTB is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in Düsseldorf. Lead retail operations and client experience for a leading contemporary fashion group.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and KPIs across merchandising, conversion and average transaction value.
- Lead, coach and develop the sales team to deliver consistent luxury client service and personalised clienteling.
- Drive daily store operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, stock control and inventory accuracy.
- Implement visual merchandising standards and ensure the boutique presentation aligns with brand guidelines.
- Manage staff scheduling, performance feedback and on-boarding of new hires.
- Analyse sales reports and operational metrics; propose and execute in-store actions to improve results.
- Ensure compliance with loss-prevention, health & safety and internal process requirements.
- Act as the primary client escalation point in the Store Manager’s absence and represent the brand in the local market.
Qualifications
- Proven retail supervisory experience (typically 2+ years) in premium or luxury fashion environments.
- Demonstrable ability to lead a small team: coaching, rostering and performance management.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Solid knowledge of visual merchandising principles and stock management processes.
- Professional presentation and a client-focused mindset suited to high-end retail.
Skills
Experience
Minimum two years of progressive retail experience with at least one year in a supervisory or assistant management role, preferably within contemporary or luxury fashion brands.
Education
Secondary education; vocational qualification in retail, business or hospitality preferred but not mandatory.
