OTB Spa seeks an Accounts Payable Accountant in Breganze, Italy to manage European supplier accounting and tax compliance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Record and process Trade and Intercompany payables invoices
- Reconcile supplier account statements and general ledger accounts
- Verify and reconcile inventory loading transactions and customs import documentation
- Manage period-end closing activities and statutory compliance
- Maintain and update supplier master data and records
- Apply tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions regarding cost deductibility and VAT recovery
- Review and verify tax clauses in contracts and manage documentation related to double-taxation conventions
- Collaborate with administrative and tax contacts at European group entities
- Support management of tax and accounting cases related to supplier accounting processes
- Analyze new workflows and operational scenarios for business stakeholders
- Identify opportunities for process simplification, standardization, and automation
- Participate in continuous improvement and administrative digitalization projects
- Support development and testing of digital and artificial intelligence solutions
- Monitor results and benefits of implemented solutions
Qualifications
- High school diploma in Administration and Finance or bachelor's degree in economics or related discipline
- Minimum five years of experience in a similar payables accounting role, preferably in multinational or mid-to-large organizations
- Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and tax legislation across multiple European jurisdictions
- Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA and Stealth 3000 (preferred)
- Experience with process improvement, digitalization, or administrative automation projects (preferred)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong collaborative and team-working skills
- Proactive mindset with openness to change and continuous improvement
- Results-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Skills
Experience
Minimum five years in an Accounts Payable or supplier accounting role, preferably acquired in multinational or medium-to-large structured environments. Experience in tax compliance across multiple European jurisdictions and familiarity with process improvement or automation initiatives are advantageous.
Education
High school diploma in Administration, Finance, or a related field; bachelor's degree (triennale or magistrale) in economics, accounting, or related discipline is preferred.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from EUR 27,000 to EUR 32,000 per annum.
