OTB Spa seeks an Accounts Payable Accountant in Breganze, Italy, for maternity cover with proficiency in SAP S/4HANA and VAT compliance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Record and post accounts payable invoices with accurate application of national tax regulations across multiple European countries (Germany, France, Belgium, UK, Spain, Netherlands)
- Verify and analyze fiscal clauses within supplier contracts and manage documentation related to double taxation conventions
- Monitor and control vendor account reconciliations and verify annual provisions and accruals
- Prepare monthly accruals and provisions for management closures and year-end financial statement preparation
- Support business units in analyzing new transactional flows and operational scenarios
- Analyze Accounts Payable processes to identify opportunities for simplification, standardization, and automation
- Collaborate on development and testing of digital solutions and generative AI applications for AP processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls and data quality standards
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and monitor implementation outcomes
Qualifications
- Secondary diploma in accounting or three-year bachelor's degree in Economics
- Minimum five years of professional experience in an equivalent Accounts Payable or general accounting role
- Solid foundation in accounting principles and practices
- Strong knowledge of VAT regulations
- Proficiency in English language
- Process analysis capability with ability to identify inefficiencies and propose concrete solutions
- Genuine interest in digital innovation, process automation, and AI applications in administrative finance
- Data analysis mindset with ability to translate operational requirements into improvement opportunities
- Commitment to objective achievement and continuous performance improvement
Skills
Experience
Minimum five years of professional experience in accounts payable, general accounting, or a similar role within a finance or shared service center environment. Prior exposure to process improvement, digitalization projects, or administrative automation is preferred.
Education
Secondary diploma in accounting (Ragioneria) or three-year bachelor's degree in Economics or related field.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from EUR 27,000 to EUR 32,000 per annum.
