OTB Spa seeks Liability Cycle Accountant for maternity cover at Breganze headquarters. Multi-jurisdictional accounting role with AP process improvement focus.
Role & Responsibilities
- Record supplier invoices with accurate application of national tax regulations, including cost deductibility and VAT recoverability
- Review and analyze tax clauses in supplier contracts and verify fiscal documentation related to double taxation conventions
- Monitor and control supplier account records and perform reconciliation of annual allocations and provisions
- Prepare monthly accruals and year-end closing reserves for financial statements
- Support business units in analyzing new payment flows and operational scenarios
- Analyze Accounts Payable processes to identify simplification, standardization, and automation opportunities
- Collaborate on the development and testing of digital and artificial intelligence solutions for AP processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls and data quality standards
- Participate in continuous improvement projects, proposing innovative solutions and tracking results
Qualifications
- Secondary diploma in accounting (Ragioneria) or bachelor's degree in Economics
- At least five years of experience in a similar accounts payable or liability accounting role
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Strong understanding of VAT regulations and multi-jurisdictional tax compliance
- Proficiency in English
- Ability to analyze processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose concrete solutions
- Interest in digital innovation, automation, and artificial intelligence applications in administrative functions
- Data analysis aptitude with capacity to translate operational needs into process improvements
Skills
Experience
At least five years of professional experience in accounts payable, financial accounting, or a related role within a shared service center environment. Preferred experience includes process improvement initiatives, administrative process digitalization, or automation projects. Familiarity with workflow automation, RPA, and emerging artificial intelligence applications in accounting functions is advantageous.
Education
Secondary diploma in accounting (Ragioneria) or bachelor's degree in Economics. Additional professional certifications in accounting or compliance are valued.

The role is situated in Breganze, Veneto, Italy — conveniently close to Vicenza.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from EUR 27,000 to EUR 32,000 per annum.
