Omega in Biel/Bienne seeks a Marketing & Compliance Controller to oversee marketing budgets, compliance and reporting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own month‑end and ad hoc reporting for marketing spend: reconcile campaign expenses, accruals and prepayments, and produce variance analysis against budgets.
- Control and monitor the marketing budget lifecycle: forecasting, monthly reforecasts, cost allocations and campaign ROI tracking.
- Ensure marketing activities comply with internal financial controls and external regulations (advertising law, consumer protection, data protection/GDPR); review materials and contracts for compliance risk.
- Partner with marketing, legal and treasury teams to design and maintain internal control processes, approval workflows and policy documentation.
- Provide actionable KPIs and management reporting to senior stakeholders; prepare board‑level slides and presentations as required.
- Support internal and external audits, respond to control findings and drive remediation actions.
- Implement and optimise systems and processes (ERP/controlling tools) to increase accuracy and efficiency of marketing financial operations.
- Train and advise local marketing teams and agencies on budget governance, invoicing requirements and compliance obligations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent; master’s degree or recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
- Solid knowledge of accounting and controlling principles, with practical experience of budget control, accruals and cost allocations.
- Proven understanding of marketing compliance topics (advertising regulation, data protection) and experience applying them in campaign review.
- Strong analytical rigour, attention to detail and proven ability to translate financial data into management insight.
- Experience with ERP/controlling systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP FI/CO or similar highly desirable.
- Excellent stakeholder management and written communication skills; business‑level English required, French or German an advantage given the Biel/Bienne location.
